For this technique, which originates from the central Pyrénées, everything lies in the art and manner of presenting the prey to the fish in the most natural way possible. Requiring concentration and dexterity, the technique, which has considerably evolved over the last few years, appeals directly to the fisherman’s feel for the water and allows to overcome the wariness of the fish, which is used to clear water.

The use of lightweight equipment and a fine, baited line with worm or water grubs (depending on the conditions), and also the mood of the fish, gives a sporting dimension to this technique.
