This emblematic river of the Basque Country, wide and strong, alternates between turbulent water and large, deep pools. On the first category of the public domain, which extends from Uhart-Cize to Cambo-les-Bains, there is almost 35 kilometres (22 miles) of river available to the trout fisherman and which is typical of the Pyrénées foothills.
